Shimtech Group subsidiary, Pillar Seals & Gaskets, receives Vendor Excellence award from Edwards

Pillar Seals & Gaskets (“PSG”), based in Worthing, UK and Prostejov, Czech Republic, have been awarded with the prestigious Vendor Excellence Award from one of our major customers, Edwards.

Edwards is a leading global manufacturer of vacuum and abatement services and equipment. PSG have been serving Edwards for over 30 years, during which we have played a pivotal role in supporting the Edwards business’ growth and internationalisation. We have done this through our specialist supply chain integration services, as well as products for specialist sealing solutions.
Shimtech Group Chief Executive, Howard Kimberley, had this to say on the achievement:

"The last twelve months have seen the PSG team successfully step up to a number of significant new challenges. As well as supporting our customer through the establishment of a new, local warehouse and distribution facility in the Czech Republic, PSG has provided logistics support to Edwards’ recently opened world-class manufacturing facility in Korea whilst increasing its service offering with the successful introduction of a number of new product lines.”
 
Edwards’ Director in Global Procurement, Hugh Kelly, also commented on the award, stating:
